Before drawing your final drafts of the mapas/planos on big paper, make sure you have the places and examples below.
1) Include at least one example of this vocabulary in your map/blueprint:
- El salón de clase de...
- El baño (de niños, de niñas, de hombres, de mujeres)
- El pasillo (con el número: 800, 600, etc.)
- La escalera
- La fuente de agua
2) If your area contains special rooms or spaces, label them with our vocabulary terms. Examples:
- El laboratorio de ciencias
- El gimnasio
- La cafetería
- La biblioteca
- La enfermería
- Other specific school locations that we have reviewed.
3) Be sure the writing is large enough to be read from ~10 feet away so we can use these maps/blueprints in class.
4) On your map / blueprint, give 5+ examples sentences with estar to say where things are located. Make these sentences conspicuous on your big paper. You can draw arrows showing relationships or use other visual cues to go along with your sentences. Here are some examples:
- El baño de hombres está al lado de la clase de Sra. Calvert**
- El salón de clase de Sr. Wilkins está en el pasillo 700 (setecientos).
Conspicuous means, "standing out so as to be clearly visible."
Use our class Quizlet set titled, "2026 S01 Preposiciones y lugares en la escuela" to help with the required vocabulary.
Here's your checklist. Check off each expectation when it's completed on your big paper.
Put a "✓" in the left column when you complete each part.
