What we've reviewed this unit:

1. Describing Family Relationships (family members and roles)

  • La madre de mi padre es mi abuela.
  • El hijo de mi hermano es mi sobrino.

2. Adjectives (vivo, divorciado, etc.)

  • Mi tío está divorciado.
  • Mi abuelo está vivo.

3. Possessive Adjectives (his, her, our + feminine/plural, etc.)

  • Su casa es vieja y grande.
  • Nuestras familias son pequeñas.

4. Tener + Que (responsibilities and chores)

  • Tengo que limpiar el baño mañana.
  • Mi hermana tiene que cocinar en la cocina.

5. Activities We Do with Family (general family actions)

  • Nosotros cocinamos juntos.
  • Ellos arreglan su cuarto cada fin de semana.

6. Reflexive Verbs (Introduction. This was just to get familiar with them and show that they exist. We'll do a lot more work with these later.)

  5. If you were a tourist visiting a new city, what kinds of places would you want to visit? (Let's get 2 - 3 examples, and we'll write them in Spanish.)
