Proyecto: El uniforme escolar de Broome

Let's imagine that Broome High School started requiring school uniforms like our neighbors in Latin America. What would those uniforms look like for students?

For this PBL assignment, you'll draw examples of our new Broome High School uniforms and write descriptions in Spanish explaining the clothing and expectations about what students wear (and if you want, cannot wear.)

You may create one uniform for all students, different uniforms for hombres y mujeres, and include additional uniforms like el uniforme de educación física or uniforme deportivo.

You'll be assessed using the rubric at the bottom of this page. The checklist below is a great tool to help guide your work.

Illustration and Writing Checklist

Put a "✓" in the left column when you complete each part.

Descripciones
Write at least one sentence describing the shirt (ej: La camisa es blanca.)
Write at least one sentence describing pants (ej: Los pantalones son azules.) If you have a skirt, describe it too. (La falda es azul.)
Write at least one sentence about shoes
Write at least one sentence about another clothing item
Write one expectation using "usan" or “no usan” (ej: Los estudiantes no usan sudaderas con gorro.)
Not required, but you can add dress code rules like Los hombres no tienen pelo largo. Los estudiantes no usan aretes.

Rubric

Sentences / phrases may be incomplete, repetitive, or partially incorrect. May have used some English. Writing is labels, fragments, or English
Vocabulary Uses vocabulary from the clothing and dress code unit (ej: camisa, blusa, pantalones, falda, zapatos, sudadera, cinturón.) Completes all vocabulary requirements from the checklist. Illustration and Design Drawings clearly show the uniform design, and the illustrations match the Spanish descriptions. Organized, detailed, and easy to read. Work is readable. Not careful work. Illustrations or descriptions may not match everywhere. Drawings are unclear, incomplete, or missing, and the design is difficult to understand.
