In Spain, people eat twelve grapes on New Year’s Eve. Each grape represents one month of the new year. People eat one grape for every sound of the clock at midnight.
En España, las personas comen doce uvas en la Nochevieja. Cada uva representa un mes del año nuevo. Las personas comen una uva con cada campanada del reloj a medianoche.
Directions: For this activity, draw a bunch of grapes like the example on the board. Write “Quiero...” above the bunch of grapes. In each grape (each circle), write the month in Spanish (enero - diciembre) and something you want to do next year.
