Below are some verbs to describe activities and responsibilities we use with family life. They help us talk about our daily routines, chores, and things we do with our families.

Regular Verbs

Stem-Changing Verbs

cerrar (e - ie) entender (e - ie) dormir (o - ue)
pensar (e - ie) volver (o - ue) preferir (e - ie)
jugar (u - ue) querer (e - ie) pedir (e - i)

Querer is a really important verb. It means to want and in some instances to love.

These phrases have a similar meaning here:

Te quiero, Mamá Te amo, Mamá
Te quiero, Mamá Te amo, Mamá

Actividad A

Review the two verb charts above. Write the English meaning beside each of the verbs you do not already know.

Actividad B

Write four (4) sentences with the verbs you do describing activities / responsibilities you do todos los días / everyday. At least one (1) of these activities needs to use a stem-change verb.
