Before scoring your mapas/planos, you need to make sure you have the following:
1) Your name and block on this rubric. You will give this rubric back to me. Keep it in nice shape.
2) Your and your partner's names, block and location / section of the school (en español) should be clearly visible on your big paper.
3) You must include this vocabulary in your map/blueprint:
- El salón de clase de...
- El baño
- El pasillo
- Las escaleras
- La fuente de agua
4) If your area contains specialty rooms or spaces, label them with our vocabulary terms. Examples:
- El laboratorio de ciencias
- El gimnasio
- La cafetería
- La biblioteca
- La enfermería
- Other specific school locations that we have reviewed.
5) Your lettering is large enough to be read from ~10 feet away so we can use these maps/blueprints in class.
6) On your map / blueprint, give 5+ examples sentences with estar to say where things are located. Make these sentences conspicuous on your big paper (that is, make them stand out and easy to see). You can draw arrows showing relationships or use other visual cues to go along with your sentences. Here are some examples:
- El baño de hombres está al lado de la clase de Sra. Calvert**
- El salón de clase de Sr. Wilkins está en el pasillo setecientos.
Here's one of my examples. Yours may look different.
Here are links to texts with some of our locations in school vocabulary. (You can click on these links on this page in Dropmark. It is difficult to type them in).
