Los verbos "-ar"

Most infinitive verbs in Spanish en in "-ar." These are called "-ar" verbs. You'll also hear them called "AR" verbs or something similar. An infinitive is the basic form of the verb, like "to walk" and "to jump" in English.

Ejemplos:

English Infinitive Verbo Infinitivo en Español
to talk hablar
to sing cantar
to eat comer
to write escribir

To use all verbs, we change the ending to match who is doing the action. These are called conjugations. Review your notes. We saw these changes with the verb "ser" already.

Here are some important words to remember:
- Yo means I.
- means you (informal).
- Él/Ella means he/she.
- Nosotros/Nosotras means we.
- Ellos/Ellas means they.
