Dates in Spanish are written with the day first and the month second. Example: 12th of September would be written as el 12 de septiembre.
For all days except the 1st, use the regular number with "el" in front. Example: 3rd of May would be written as el 3 de mayo, written out, "el tres de mayo".
For the 1st of the month, you can say "el primero de". Example: 1st of January would be written as el 1 de enero or el primero de enero.

Example: December 25th would be el 25 de diciembre / el veinticinco de diciembre.

To say when your birthday is, you can use:
Mi cumpleaños es el [Day] de [Month].
Example: Mi cumpleaños es el cuatro de junio. (My birthday is June 4th.)
