Juan es estudiante en el colegio bilingüe Santo Domingo. Es alto y delgado. Juan es amable y extrovertido. Le gusta jugar al fútbol con sus amigos y disfruta el café. También le encanta ir a la playa en su tiempo libre. Juan es de la República Dominicana. Aprende rápido y le gusta participar en clase. Es un compañero de clase agradable y siempre está dispuesto a ayudar a sus compañeros.
A little more complex text:
Marta es una estudiante que habla español y quechua. Tiene catorce años. Tiene cabello castaño y ojos verdes. Es de estatura media y tiene una sonrisa encantadora. A Maria le encanta bailar y participa en clases de danza. Además, le gusta tomar té con sus amigos y disfruta de la música peruana. Maria nació en Lima, la capital de Perú. Es una chica alegre y amistosa que siempre está dispuesta a hacer nuevos amigos en la escuela. Le gusta aprender y siempre presta atención en clase. Es una compañera de clase dedicada y respetuosa.

Letters and sounds - What do we already know?
What sound does "y" make? "Ll" together, and what about "v", "ñ" and "rr"?

Let's do 3-4 words together to practice. You may have the alphabet chart open on your laptop.
Hair color ==> Color de pelo = color de cabello (These are synonyms.)
Just like in English, words for our hair, eyes and complexions changes depending on where we are. We'll use the most common words here.
Four important hair colors: rubio, negro, castaño, y pelirrojo
"Calvo" is bald.
We can be more specific if you want to talk about your specific hair color.
Vocabulary practice = opuestos
"Opuesto" means opposite. We're review vocabulary terms and their opposites.
