This sound: /ǝ/ - It sounds like "uhh" in English. It doesn't exist in Spanish! /a/ or /o/ - that's it!
"Yo voy a" is literally "I go to...". This isn't the same as "I attend".
Getting started:
These questions are similar to the descriptions from our Unit Warm Up reading last week.
One of the most important verbs for this unit is "Vivir - To Live". It's a regular "-ir" verb.

Preguntas para hablantes nativos y de herencia:
1) Si tienes hermanos o hermanas, ¿en qué idioma hablas con ellos?
2) Haz una lista de las personas con quienes hablas más español en tu familia (y comunidad). Anota el tipo de vocabulario que usas o las situaciones en que más frecuentemente lo usas, por ejemplo, “Mi abuela me manda a hacer encargos al mercado,” “Ayudo a mi papá a hablar con su doctor” o “Mi tía y yo hablamos sobre su programa de televisión favorito.”

For this Warm-up, provide the missing VERB and CONJUGATE it according to the subject of the sentence. Write the meaning of the sentence in English. (Hint - I used the following verbs, but others work in the blanks as well. Asistir, Ayudar, Estudiar, Ser, Tener and Vivir.)

Querer --- This is a "stem change verb". More about these in the weeks ahead.
Poner --- yo + poner = pongo. I put.
Hacer --- yo + hacer = hago. I make/do. (Not the auxiliary verb "do"!)

1) Tengo que lavar los platos.
